IBM java works on glibc 2.2.5xxxx!

The errors I reported were in a 2.14.19-pre8-ben0 kernel.  I see them
in both YDL2.1 and YDL2.2 with that kernel.

It's certainly beginning to sound like specific kernel configuration
options are coming into play here: some configurations work, some
don't.  I think we're going to have to start comparing .config files
to be able to narrow this down any further.
