Hmmh, not really, if I buy a PC with a service contract that match
anything that Apple offers I have to pay 500 EUR (1 EUR is roughly 1 $
now) for the machine and 1000 Euro for the service contract at least in
Europe. Where is the difference? If I have to expand/reconfigure my
PC-hardware I need good nerves, sometimes a set of screwdrivers and a
first aid kit (because sometimes a PC-case is the hell). I call that
costs.

Beside that I usually buy a license of Windoze together with a PC, so I
help MS expanding it monopoly and introducing TCPA-Palladium-PCs which
might finish any kind of Open Source/not MS-certified Software on PCs,
that's really expensive then ...;
