As a test, I recompiled the kernel in a loop to get everything pretty loaded 
and warm, and at the 2nd or 3rd run, the machine oopsed again. Ran the 
hardware check from the cd, and got a ram error. Switching off and waiting 
for a few minutes, the errors were gone, but they came back after the next 
recompile loop. Looks like a case for warranty (two years by law in the EU, 
should not be a problem...).
