OpenOffice BASIC?

Started from OOo 1.0 Writer, File > Autopilot > Web Page aborts with the following 
error, and opens a window titled "BASIC - soffice.WebWizard...", 
with the following line highlighted, with a red arrow on the left.

The line: oBaseDocument = StarDesktop.LoadComponentFromURL("private:factory/swriter/web", "_blank", 0, NoArgs())

The error message: 

BASIC runtime error.
An exception occurred
Type: sun.star.lang.IllegalArgumentException
Message: cannot coerce argument type during corereflection call!.

OOo 1.0 as shipped with YDL2.3CD, on a PB G3.

I can't find any issues listed at OOo, and it works fine with OOo1.01 on my Redhat PC,
so the next question is-
Is this something that just doesn't work under YDL?
