imac sound failure

Hi there,

I get the same problem. Try logging out, then in again. Sound should 
fire up fine.
I think the problem is that Gnome's sound driver grabs the /dev/dvd 
before KDE fires up, the first time.

I'm trying to find a way of fixing it.
