If the 7000 in his possession has twin view and the driver supports it.  
(I don't know the answer to either of these questions)

If not, it would be possible to stick any 2 video cards in you mac and 
set up a dual head system with the Xinearama feature XFree86-4.1 and 
up.  Note that your mac only has one AGP slot, so you will need at least 
one PCI video card in order to for this to work.  If you're buying a 
card, a simple ATI Rage128 PCI would do just fine, so long as you don't 
want to do DVD playback or heavy 3d work on the second head.  If you 
just want that other screen for having a terminal session of mail 
application open (as I typically do) then the R128 is more than adequate.

FWIW, I do my dual head on a Matrox G400MaX DualHead card on x86 Linux, 
so I may be missing some of the subtleties of PPC/YDL Dual-head configs.
