RealTek 8139 Driver Installation?

Any idea how to compile the 8139too module? I'm not at all familiar with
the gcc compiler ... Where would be a good starting point for me to get
that information?

Doesn't look like the kernel has support built in. Compile the 8139too
as a module or as part of the kernel. Then rerun the network config
script.
