I acquired an ancient power-mac machine, and wanted to see how yellow-dog
linux worked on it...

I was going through the install instructions, and at the part where I
am supposed to un-compress the BootX_1.2.2.sit file, it fails.

The alert says:
The archive "BootX_1.2.2.sit" has been
corrupted or may not be a valid arcive. Do
you wish to continue working with it?

The machine is running mac-os 8.1, and I have none of the original
software disks..only what is installed on it currently.

Any ideas?
