Knoppix like total CD boot?

Is it possible to install YDL3 in a Knoppix like way?
http://www.knoppix.net I really like how Knoppix has
auto hardware detection and totally boots off a cd so
you can use it temperarily and not touch the harddrive
(except for a swap file). I also like the Knoppix-STD
(security tools distribution so you can check the
security of your network using powerful linux tools
with a simple cd boot. http://www.knoppix-std.org I
also think this would be a good way (if there was an
iso posted on websites) for newbies to test out linux
without a commitment of erasing and partitioning their harddrives.
