Debian is certainly not restricted to the command line.  While the
installer is text-based, my iBook is presently running Debian and it
has:

- Evolution 1.4.5
- KDE 3.1.4
- Gnome 2.4
- OOo 1.1
- Eclipse
- Mozilla 1.5, Firebird and Thunderbird

Now, getting all of this working was a _lot_ harder than it is in YDL,
but once you get the system up and running, Debian PPC is (more or less)
the same as Debian x86.
