How to use IMS Twin Turbo 128M

Thanks to all who gave pointers on how to (or why I shouldn't) use an
imstt. I'm not about to rebuild kernels just to avoid a $15 part, and
don't want to go down any other paths of frustration. I thought that all
I would need to do is set a bootx kernel option and some xconfig stuff.
Clearly this isn't the case.

As for the ATI Rage128, how hard is it to get working? Is there already
kernel support? If so, what does it take to get YLD to use the card
during boot and when running X?
