problem booting YDL 2.3 on tibook

Hi all, I'm cannot boot anymore from my YDL partition, or
even from the install cd. Is there anything I can try? any
pages that anyone can point me to where people have had
this problem before?

I have a powerbook G4 550, version 2.1. I've been looking
on the yellowdog web page for information.

I'd really appreciate some help. I think I may have to move
to using my old pc with a linux install remotely from my
mac for what I'm doing, but I'd rather have a partition on
my laptop.
