FTP slow initial connection

I went ahead and added this and a couple of other lines:

MasqueradeAddress
PassivePorts

None of this made any difference.

I even upgaded the firmware on the router to no avail.

Finally, I set the router to forward all ports (not just port 21)
and the connection started working really fast, even from the net.

Maybe this was what David was talking about, I'm not sure.

Perhaps it has something to do with passive connections...
