Installing YLD 3 on B&W Mac

Hi Guys, I just subscribed to the list.

I just received the system as a present. I really would like to set up a 
linux workstation.
Unfortunately I hold down C and it tells me that the file is corrupt.

Am I doing anything wrong?

PS. I checked the md5 and everything is fine [unfortunately I have to burn 
it on a pc][I burned on a 650 mb cd too] nothing no results to get the 
installation going
