Firewire CD-RW...

Well I have a Que 120 Firewire a Pioneer DVR-105 firewire drive (macally
enclosure), and a VST firewire all of which mount just fine under YDL
3.0. The Firewire drive burns CD's fine as well (haven't tried DVD's
yet :-) I'm sending this message from OS X running under MOL on the Que
120 drive. However, I start the machines with the drives unplugged from
the firewire port (because I see problems similar to yours), then plug
the firewire bus in, and issue the modprobe of ohci1394 and sbp2. After
that everything works like a charm. The disk drives are found as sda
and sdb, I can't remember what cdrecord shows the DVD as since it's on
the other machine at the moment.
