Can I use that eth1 in 2.3??

It probably will (a variant works for me in conjunction with a Linksys
bridge).  Don't forget the line that I kept from the said file though.
The xx.xx.xx.xx there should be the IP of your router.  Otherwise,
your machine will not know where to send the DHCP request.
