Xine and sound

Yes, I have the same problems -- using freshrpms' packages or after 
building from source I get stuttering shreeks for sound. I know that 
oss and esd drivers work, as they function properly in mplayer and 
xmms. Unfortunately, mplayer has problems with video playback, so 
I'm stuck without a movie player. :/
