gmane?

	I don't know how many here are familiar with it; those who are 
will be able to explain more & better than I. What it is, is a way to 
follow a list using a newsreader: gmane subscribes (if the listowner 
permits), and converts its subscription to an entry at news.gmane.org; 
with a newsreader that can handle several servers, like Pan from 
http://pan.rebelbase.com/ , it's then very easy to follow just those 
threads that you need or can grasp.

	The questions are, would the listowners' permission be 
forthcoming? And should it be?
