VDQ : upgrade 3.0 -- which way?

If I understood Beartooth, he already has 3.0 installed, and now he just
wants to ensure that he has all of the errata, etc . . . I thought upgrade
was primarily for upgrading distros, such as 2.3 -> 3.0???
