FYI, if you want to try 10.2 or 10.3 on that hardware, you'll have to 
install a G3 or G4 upgrade.  10.2 and 10.3 are incompatible with CPUs 
older than the G3.  If such an upgrade isn't in your plans your choices 
are 10.1 or Linux, and for your described purposes I'd pick Linux.
