Hi there,

After inadvertently installing the 10.2.8 v2 update this weekend, I have
lost yaboot, as I now see
That YDL advises against 10.2.8 (too late). I was booted up in YDL 3.0 and
launched MOL. In the Xwindow I got the MOL
Icon, and then the old OS 9 happy Mac (no OS X as usual) and then MOL just
froze. When I restarted the system yaboot
was gone.

I=B9ve pulled up Kai Staats instructions for resetting yaboot with the
following results:
1. re Run ybin from Install CD. This yields a cant find that partition
result (even though I correctly entered hda11)
2. reset firmware. This is ok in the open firmware, but upon boot command,
it just turns black screen.
3. Newworld Rom/Option Firmware. YDL is an option to boot from, but as in #=
2
I get a black screen after selecting.

Can anyone help me find my yaboot? He was just a little guy, and I don=B9t
think he=B9ll last very long out there
On his own. ;)

Andrew Birch
