G3 Wallstreet pcmcia usb mouse?

Hi folks,

I went through the archives, but didn't see this particular situation.  I 
have a G3 powerbook which has no usb ports but does have 2 pcmcia slots.  
I bought a pcmcia usb controller and it works fine under OS 9 and OS 
10.28, but I haven't been able to get it to work under YDL 3.0.  Does 
anyone know of a document or source of information/steps I need to go 
through to get the pcmcia/usb card to function?
