HylaFAX client problem

I know this is off topic, but I'm too lazy to join the HylaFAX maillist for 
such a simple problem.

I've been running a HylaFAX server for our Windows clients using a Samba 
printer share to process the transmissions. This works flawlessly. However, I 
have never bothered to set myself up with client access from my Linux 
workstation.

I am trying to use Pyla as the client, but I cannot get connected. I get the 
following error:
error_perm: 503 Already logged in as USER john.

Has anyone run into this problem???
