Visor problem after YDL 3.0

After installing YDL 3.0, I can not use pilot-xfer to sync with my visor.
Details:
   *	I am using the visor's USB cradle
   *    With the visor.o module loaded, the /var/log/messages shows
	the /dev/ttyUSB0 and /dev/ttyUSB1 devices activated when
	the sync button on the cradle is pressed.
   *	Calling pilot-xfer --port=/dev/ttyUSB1 --list after pressing
	the sync button, just hangs
   *	I am able to use coldsync to backup and restore to the visor,
	but I want to be able to run jpilot.
   *	Versions
	Linux Kernel	2.4.20-8d
	Pilot-link	0.11.8
