Freeze on shutdown YDL 3.0

I've just finished installing YDL 3.0 on a DV iMac (purple).  Everything =
is standard hardware-wise.  Install went smooth and I chose default's =
for everything (workstation class install).  This OS is slick!  Only =
issue I've ran into is on shutdown all processes shutdown fine until I =
reach the point below:

Halting system...
flushing ide devices: hda hdb
ide0:  unexpected interrupt, status: 0:d0, count=3D1

At this point the machine never shuts down.  I have to hold power button =
in to get it to turn off.  Restart works without any issues.  I've used =
yum update to obtain latest sw and all updates have been =
installed....still have issue.  Anyone out there experienced this issue? =
 Been able to resolve it?
