Apache .htaccess not working

Thanks, but it didn't help.

I already had:

<Directory /home/sitename/www>
 Options Indexes FollowSymLinks MultiViews
 AllowOverride All
</Directory>

And just to be certain changed AllowOverride None in <Directory /> to All.
