Problems after compiling new kernel

Which kernel sources did you use ? I used the official 2.4.22 sources
from kernel.org plus the ppc patch
(ftp://ftp.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/ports/ppc/2.4). This is neccesary
for the mouse emulation for example. And for the config file you should
use the YDL kernel config file as a template and only modify the
settings of which you are sure what they are. The original config files
can be found in /usr/src/linux-2.4/configs/
