OS X 10.2.8 causing problems for YDL 3.0?

I had the same problem.  Got the menu, started the boot process with 
"l" and system reboots.   Reinstall of YDL 3.0.1 solved my problem, so 
it might be you need to reset the boot parameters.  Maybe the YDL 
rescue disk will work?
