Trying to Install YDL on G3 Beige

It sounds like you're trying to use the YDL 3.0.1 CDs with the
ramdisk.image.gz from YDL 2! Point BootX to the one in the "images" folder
on Install Disc 1. It'll be graphical and you won't be asked where you're
installing from.
