Exception error during install

I just had the same problem yesterday. The way that I resolved it was
booting up with the OSX install CD, and using that disk utility to format
the drives as Linux partitions. After that the YDL install utility was able
to get past the disk partitioning stage.

I also ran into a fatal install error during the application software
installation step. Since the install program aborted, I had to re-run it.
This time I used the default disk partitioning option, instead of specifying
my own partitions, and the install completed successfully.
