getting cups to work on yellowdog

off the top of my head, I would say that you don't have the correct url
for the printer.  Would you please post the section  of 
/etc/cups/printers.conf for that printer?

Below is mine, but I don't have any IPP printers. 

Also I have foomatic-rip and foomatic-gswrapper in /usr/bin.
