Mr. Stampflee,

It probably is not your first intrest, but I'd like to mention that 
kernel 2.6.9smp has some pleasant improvements for oldworld macs as well.

1. This kernel boots fine with no modifications (as opposed to the one 
on the YDL 4.0 disks)
2. For the first time, I got ALSA working on my machine out of the box.
The test sound in the KDE Sound control panel is still flakey (starts 
out nicely, continues in a hiss, and ends nicely again), but NoAtun and 
Xmms both produce sound now with ALSA as the sound system.

I have put snd_powermac but all seems to work ?
