ALSA configuration

I'll try Joseph's suggestions as soon as I find my mouse - I've
somehow broken the ctrl-click emulation - did the last kernel update
in yum take that option out I wonder...

the xmms and rhythmbox and no-vlc situation makes me wish TSS were
European..... then we'd actually have mp3/dvd/etc shipping with the
OS.
