Not yet.  The new 2.6 release candidate had a lot of stuff in the
changelog relating to Powerbook power management so perhaps it will be
soon.  If you video chipset is NVidia, then there's little hope that
sleep will ever be possible.  But with ATI, once the kernel support and
the power management daemon are updated, then we just might see it.
