installation problem

hi everyone
   I am trying to install ydl on  my ibook G4.the installer starts running 
but then as soon as i choose disk druid utility in the setup to specify my 
installation partition ..the installer gives me a big error report and sends 
termination signals and the installation stops..i have 2 partiotions in one 
i have panther and the other is blank mac os extended journaled...could 
anyone help me out ,,..
