Why not kget?

 It's probably already installed, and it's definitely in your yum
sources. And it's pretty integrated with kde. Even from Mozilla, if you
tell kget to monitor the klip-board (by clicking on the "Auto Paste"
option), all you need to do is instead of clicking a download-link,
right-click and select copy link location, kget takes the link and your
off to the races.

To me, that's the simplest solution.
