Q: agp w/ Powermac G4 Silver & kernel 2.4.24-ben1?

I tried to get the agp port in my Powermac G4 Silver, eqiuipped with a =20
Radeon RV200 QW [Radeon 7500] card, working with kernel 2.4.24-ben1, but =
=20
had no success.

I built both radeon and agpgart (with uninorth support) as modules. When I =
=20
first insert radeon and then agpgart, X starts fine but tells me

(WW) RADEON(0): [agp] AGP not available
(WW) RADEON(0): [agp] AGP failed to initialize -- falling back to PCI =20
mode.
(WW) RADEON(0): [agp] If this is an AGP card, you may want to make sure =20
the agpgart
kernel module is loaded before the radeon kernel module.

So I removed both modules and inserted first agpgart and then radeon, and =
=20
now agp seems to load

but finally startx stalls with an endless repetition of
