EPSON network printing

I have an EPSON C80 printer that is connected to my network, not via USB.
I've tried to set it up via the 'System Settings -> printing' GUI, and also by
using http://localhost:631. According to the CUPS Administrator's manual,
I should use the protocol socket://192.168.1.80 for an Epson
multiprotocol ethernet
interface board. So, I've used that, but whenever I try and print
out a test page,
I get nothing. So what's the problem here?
