Samba 3 for yellowdog....

I've just installed Yellowdog on an old G3 .... mostly to replace our =
failing MacDNS, internal web and external ftp server. Having got =
yellowdog and Samba 2.x to work, I'm now trying to update to samba 3 / =
netatalk to relieve some of the load on an old ASIP server. My =
questions for the list... is it worth upgrading to Samba 3 and how hard =
will it be? I'm concerned that there isn't an rpm for samba 3.... if it =
was easy someone would have done it.
Any suggestions most appreciated.
