Now all I need to do is figure out what IRQ my airport card is on
(ibook1, 300mhz) since insmod/modprobe aint workin...

yum is easy and will deal the dependencies for you.

[ken@byteme ken]$ su -
Password:=20
[root@byteme root]# mounyum install gcc*

voila :)
