There are many ways to do this based on preference, but when I grab one
of the tarballs, I download it to my home directory and unpack it like
this:
neillm@maceva neillm $ pwd
/home/neillm
neillm@maceva neillm $ tar -xzf
mozilla-powerpc-unknown-linux-gnu-1.7.tar.gz
Then I can test it by running this:
neillm@maceva neillm $ cd mozilla
neillm@maceva mozilla $ ./mozilla
If that runs, then everything is okay. If that doesn't run, try this:
neillm@maceva mozilla $ sh run-mozilla.sh
If that works you can create a shortcut to mozilla by using the full
path. In my example, the target would be:
/home/neillm/mozilla/mozilla
If mozilla does NOT start, it's likely that there are library dependency
problems and you'll have to check the README listing the libs required.
Best regards,
-Neill.
