Brian, did you get this working?

This looks to me like the two units do not have the same key. What does
"ifconfig eth1" show you? You should compare its output with iwconfig
output. If ifconfig says it configured and iwconfig says it's configured,
it's probably an issue with matching keys.

Try keys of this nature:

iwconfig eth1 key abad-c0de-11

but use "abadc0de11" in your access point.

BTW - 40bit = 64bit as far as WEP is concerned.
