question on kde and other

hi all
more and more i spend time learning about linux and YDL
but i have a few question  ( i dont  know if the  terrasoft read this  i 
hope ).

Even if  YDL  is  kind of magic installation (everything work as magic 
except  gaim that refuse  to accept msn   but  some friend are helping with 
this )
i was wondering  about  other  program

all the KDE series  the koffice familly
kopete
karbon-14
kontour
kword
krita
and more

im realizing that there a huge number of program  are them all compatible 
with   YDL
reno
