Such a CD does exist, though it's not YDL based. Gentoo.org will soon  
be releasing for the Mac a KDE 3.3.2/GNOME 2.6 LiveCD alla Knoppix  
style. Even though it's a different Linux distribution, it allows users  
to get the feel of what Linux can be like. I'll let you guys know when  
it's been released. As with Knoppix, I believe you can even copy the  
entire CD to an EXT2(3) partition and you'd have a working Linux  
installation, though you'd have to do some tweaking to get it up to  
speed with the normal installation method... Anyway I'll keep you guys  
posted.
