I for one would never try such a trick without _first_ backing up my
data, unless of course it was data I didn't care about or could easily
recreate.  If the resizing of partitions worked exactly as advertised,
it would save you the bother of restoring your data, but just in case
it didn't go flawlessly, I would want to know I had that backup available
for my peace of mind.

P.S.  But if it actually does work as advertised it could be a valuable
      utility tool to have around.
