USB hard drive and CD-RW

Well this is turning into a stumper....I have reviewed all those log
files, and I can not see a reference to any hard drive other the /dev/hda1
(my main drive).  I know the drive works as I can see the partition when I
attach it to a Windoze box.  Does 2.4.22-g have the ability to see a USB
2.0 hard drive?
