Exchange files between OS 9 and MOL

Hello,
of course I meant "sharing files" :) .
Well, I have a hfs partition free for that purpose now.
What if MacOs 9 is installed on a hfs partition? Is it possible to share
files under that condition or do I miss the point somewhere?
