G4/800 3.0.1 Install Failure

I have a G4/800 with two hard drives and can't get the install past the 
partitioning stage.  I know this has been discussed.  I've checked the 
archives and tried to erase the disk I want to put YDL on with the 
Jaguar Disk Utility but it still quits when it gets to partitioning.  I 
upgraded to Panther and kept the Jaguar file system so I am really 
confused as to why I still can't get this to install.  I love YDL and 
it's breaking my heart that I can only run it on my Powermac 225.  
Please help.
