I finally got this going by hacking the Apple Drive Setup
program with resedit.  I just added my drive manufacturer
and model to the list.  Then I reinitialized the drive.   ;)

Actually, I don't think you need to go to all this trouble,
however.  I think you can just initialize the hard drive
with pdisk or parted and it will work.

I'm not really sure why you need any Apple "drivers" on the second
drive if you're just going to boot from another drive using BootX anyway.

Final words of advice - always terminate the SCSI bus
or you will get strange random errors on install.
