New version of YDL? (possibly OT)

Hi

I've yet to take the plunge and install Linux on my Powerbook but before I do 
I was wondering if anyone here knew (or could make a reasonable guess) 
whether there will be an updated version of YDL soon? The current version is 
a little long in the tooth. I know I could just update by hand but I'd rather 
avoid spending ages doing that if a new version is in the works.
